News & Events

On Sunday, March 15th, 2015, BPI signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Government represented by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for EETC to off-take 100% of the electric power generated by the first module of BPI’s CCGT 2300 MW power complex in Motobas, Kar El Shaiek, in Egypt. The signing ceremony of the PPA took place during the events of Egypt Economic Development Conference that was held from 13 to 15 of March, 2015, in city of Sharm El Shaiek, in Egypt.
